Close to 25,000 Experiencing Electricity in Queensland and Victorian Regions Following Severe Storms
Nearly twenty-five thousand homes in southeastern Queensland woke up experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after intense storm systems swept through the state, bringing strong winds hitting 109km/h.
Large Ice Stones and Extensive Destruction
Homeowners observed large ice chunks as large as 7 centimeters in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that multiple regions across the state had been hit with significant hail.

Emergency crews were working to restore power throughout the impacted areas, with dozens of response units activated to address the extensive power failures.
Victorian Weather Woes
Meanwhile, around 1,000 energy customers in the southern state also encountered electricity disruptions after the metropolitan area experienced its heaviest rainfall in over 500 days.
Rescue organizations received over five hundred calls for help across the area, mainly for property damage but also for downed trees and flooding.

At one point on yesterday, over 28k electricity consumers in Victoria were without power.

Moist weather were forecast to persist along significant areas of Queensland's east this next several days as a weather pattern continued to draw in moisture against the coastal areas.
Tomorrow was predicted as the most rainy day, with ongoing thunderstorm potential anticipated across multiple regions of both states.

Medical authorities cautioned that there was an greater possibility of weather-related respiratory issues across the countryside regions, especially given the ongoing climate situation.
